Tips For a Seamless Engagement Session Experience
Before we get into the categories, there are a few important things to keep in mind while planning your indoor engagement photos in Kansas City. Give yourself plenty of time to coordinate—ideally 1-2 months, especially if your chosen location is a place of business. You’ll also want to be sure to budget accordingly for potential additional costs. Book a photographer (like me!) that will coordinate with the business and include all costs for you to ensure the easiest, least stressful experience.
To account for setup at the beginning and cleanup at the end, consider adding 30 minutes to one hour of additional time. Showing up to your session 5-10 minutes early is always a great practice, too. And be sure to always have a backup location just in case. If a business waives fees, show your support by making a purchase (i.e. buy a beer at the brewery or coffee at the coffee shop – bonus, these make for great props!), which can also double as a fun prop for your session!
