I had the honor of photographing Anjali and Pooran while I attended a content retreat in Tulum, Mexico. In between shoots, we had a little time to get to get to know each other and we’ve become great friends! Though Anjali and Pooran are not professional models, it certainly looks like they do this for a living! I had the best time photographing them at a boutique resort for a casual couples session (to be featured later), but their love truly shined when they modeled for us at Altar Tulum as a couple eloping. They were both so easy and natural, and their love is so obvious and pure. They truly embraced the moment, as if they were really eloping, and it made their whole Tulum elopement magical.
Memorable Luxury Tulum Elopement Details
Altar Tulum was a STUNNING setting for the elopement. The architectural planning and the beautiful design of the building is incredible. The way that the jungle is seamlessly blended into the quintessential Mexico building design of Altar Tulum makes for an incredibly relaxing retreat. Couples can stay in any of the apartments in this building and feel like they are in another realm.
The whole building is luxury from another world. And every unit has it’s own, private pool. Imagine getting married here and immediately starting the honeymoon! Or say the “I do’s” at the beach or in another venue, and this building is just a short drive away to retreat to after all the festivities. We loved the arches, the botanical plants and jungle feel, the intimate pool setting (and bungalow by the pool), and the overall luxury aesthetic of Altar Tulum. It really established the vision of the styled elopement for Anjali and Pooran and gave everyone in collaboration for the shoot so much inspiration!
